Kiwanis donation will aid area charity
A $1,000 donation from the Westfield Kiwanis Club will support the work of It Takes a Village, a Huntington-based charity that supports infants, children, and young families.
Club President George Delisle presented the donation to It Takes a Village Executive Director Lisa Goding at the club’s Sept. 11 meeting at Shaker Farms Country Club.
Goding told Kiwanis members about the work her organization does to provide both counseling and material support to families across Western Massachusetts. ITAV’s “Village Closet” at 2 East Main St. in Huntington stocks a wide variety of donated items which families can take home free of charge. Available items include clothing, toys, books, furniture, nursing supplies and more.
