Santa’s elf auxiliary at Baystate Noble Hospital has been collecting toys for Santa to give away this Christmas, and members of the Westfield Kiwanis Club were excited to help get the toys to their next destination on Monday.
Toy collection boxes have been on display in the Baystate Noble main lobby for weeks, allowing patients and local residents to deposit new, unwrapped toys for the It Takes a Village toy distribution event at the agency’s Village Closet facility in Huntington.
On Monday, Westfield Kiwanis Club volunteers picked up the collected toys and drove them to the Huntington location. It Takes a Village client families will be able to select holiday toys for their children later this week at absolutely no charge.
The Village Closet has an incredible array of toys, books, games, clothing, and sports equipment for children of all ages. The agency serves children and families from all across Western Massachusetts. There is never a charge for the agency’s services.
