Westfield Kiwanian elected Kiwanis District Governor

A Westfield Kiwanis Club member with a “distinguished record of service” will serve as the governor of the New England and Bermuda District of Kiwanis International for one year beginning October 1.
Adam Wright was elected at the organization’s recent district convention held in Windsor Locks, CT.
Wright, a native of Newton, has previously received the Westfield Kiwanis Club’s Kiwanian of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards, and served three terms as Lieutenant Governor of Division 15. He is also a member of the Springfield Kiwanis Club.
Wright said: “Kiwanis has always been about service and community, and I am deeply honored to continue that tradition as governor.
“My commitment is to support our clubs, strengthen our programs and inspire even more people to join us in making a lasting difference in the lives of children across New England and Bermuda.”
George Delisle, president of the Westfield Kiwanis Club and a past Kiwanis International trustee, said: “Adam becoming governor is just the latest, and certainly not the final, achievement in a lifetime of volunteerism and leadership. He provides a significant skill set in marketing and a vision that will help us to continue to make a difference in the lives of the people we serve.”
Tony Cignoli, president of the AL Cignoli Company, a public relations, political and governmental affairs business, added: “The economic and philanthropic impact made by Kiwanis is so significant and powerful in the communities served. To have Adam Wright in this leadership role is great for all New England and Bermuda.
“Adam’s communication expertise and skills will benefit the good works and efforts of Kiwanis and energize new opportunities throughout the district. He is a master communicator and people person.”
Wright, a past president of the Westfield club, is also a past board member of the Kiwanis Foundation of New England, a Walter Zeller Charter Fellow and the past growth chairman of New England and Bermuda Kiwanis.
He has been a longtime volunteer with Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and is a Jeremiah Milbank Society member.
Wright is currently director of marketing and communications for the law firm of Pellegrini, Seeley, Ryan and Blakesley in Springfield, Massachusetts.
